Beauty... Just saying... Speaking my mind

So me and my good friend were talking about about make up. And she made a really good point about why she doesn't wear make up. She said " LOL idk why I just never have worried about how I look I always worry about how I act more do u wear make up?"(®) "I always worry about how I act" Wow! That hit home for me. Honestly I wear make up but I don't wear a lot. I hate when girls think they have to cover their face from top to bottom with full on make up. They think thats what makes them beautiful. But what should make us beautiful is how we act and if our hearts are beautiful.  Us as Christians should respect ourselfs! We are the Holy Temple of God! Amen! We are beautiful temples of the almighty God! Would we mark and destroy a temple, beautiful, stain glass windows,ect ? A beautiful temple created by God? No! Then why do we mark and destroy His temple? Us!! Here's my two reasons why I think we do:1. Approval. 2: this world. 1. Us as girls are horrible about comparing our selfs to others girls. I'm so guilty of it.  We must get out of " I'm ugly that girl is prettier than me" mind set. Once we realize that what makes us beautiful in our hearts, we will start to get out of that mind set. Not judging here.. But look at a " more prettier than me girl" look at her heart. Is she Godly? Is she living for God? What about you? Are you Godly? Are you living for God? If you are people will think that's prettier. Instead of comparing, pray for them! Also girls likes to get attention. We always have to look good for our guys or like interested. A couple months ago the guy I like camed over to my house to watch a movie. And I took a shower. I was think grreeaattt no make up. Pjs. Well. If he doesn't like plain Jane me then oh well. He still thought I was beautiful. See!! We don't need to try to look nice, it's our hearts and the way God made us. 

2. This world pushes what "pretty is" way to much. They say beauty is make up, high end clothes, nice hair, nice manicures and pedicures, ect. They even say beauty is starving yourself basically! "size 0 is in!" "summer hot body..work out!" I see it everywhere I go. It's getting tried. Pretty is who God made you before all of that! Pretty is all the good thats in your heart! Stop listening to what this world says pretty is! Grab ahold of what God says pretty is.
